About the inn
Anima & Terra is an Inn for the Soul between the mountains and beaches of Liguria in Northern Italy. Small, intimate, and steeped in ancient medicinal wisdom. A place where life enters as it is, where strangers possibly sit at the same table and no one asks what your plans are for today.
The Inn accommodates max. 6 adults at a time. Not as hotel guests, but as people who feel at home somewhere for a moment. To digest what has been or to create what wants to be born.
The power lies not in size but in depth: in the presence of Karen as host and medicine woman, in the kitchen full of local ingredients, in the scent of sage in the garden, and the light that falls over the hills in the evening.
The Inn is built on ancient medicinal wisdom, natural rhythms, and simple rituals. Ancient medicine that reminds you what life truly means. Not as a program, but as the fabric from which the place is made. You taste it in your herbal tea, feel it in the cotton, smell it in the sauna. These healing methods are the invisible architects of the space.
And whether you find yourself chatting with Karen, sharing a glass of wine or simply sinking into complete silence: you choose your own pace. Everyone here gets the vibe, so feel free to connect or happily do absolutely nothing at all.

Philosophy
Our founder Karen, started this place from a true manifesto. She believes that our modern world is running on an overstimulated and hyper-productive Yang current.
As a sociologist, she sees how our collective structures have detached us from true connection; and as an acupuncturist and medicine-woman, she feels how our bodies long for Yin lead and rest. We have forgotten how to simply be.
The Inn for the Soul is therefore a sanctuary where the most simple and basic needs of humanity are met, even though they are the hardest to realise nowadays. In this way Karen hopes to contribute to the health of people, our relations together, and mama earth.
The Inn will open its doors mid 2027.
